Overview

In this guided inquiry lesson, the students will explore the effect of fertilizer on the growth of plants. They are engaged in the lesson by first comparing two non-­‐fiction texts. Then students will design an investigation, use various measurement tools, and collect data. Students will analyze data and look for an answer to the investigation question by creating a line graph. Students will investigate the question: “How do different fertilizers affect the growth of plants?”
