Overview

In this inquiry lesson, students will be investigating the chemical property of matter that is characterized by pH – that is, the substances’ level of acidity or basicity. As they learn how to determine pH, students will explore the range of acids and bases in common household substances. Through their investigations, students will gain a better understanding of and appreciation for the chemical property of acid/base.
